Meet the Founder and Therapist
Irene “Renee” Hannam
Irene Hannam is the owner and creator of Write Expectations. Irene received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware and her Master of Occupational Therapy degree from Shenandoah University. She has worked in various occupational therapy settings, transitioning to the private and public school setting full time in 2001.
Irene has treated children with a variety of diagnoses (i.e., ASD, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, dysgraphia, developmental delay, ADHD). She is a Certified Handwriting Without Tears Specialist, Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist, and Certified Primitive Reflex Clinical Specialist. Irene works with students of all ages, facilitating prewriting and written language skills. Irene is currently a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
Through her variety of experiences, Irene understands the importance of collaboration with parent, teacher, student, as well as other service providers to establish and facilitate student success in the classroom setting. Being a mother of three children, Irene understands the importance of helping students reach their full potential for learning and achieve their individual academic success.
